I don’t think Valentina is the wmma goat either (even before the loss) and I dislike her somewhat but I’m not sure what your point is; isn’t every champ the champ in their own division? Maybe I’m misunderstanding something.

My point is she’s regarded as the best of all time in a division that hasn’t had the wiggle room to get it’s feet off the ground. It’s like how it was hard to consider Demetrious Johnson the GOAT during his reign because despite his accomplishments it was through a division that was largely considered one of the weakest, if not the weakest in the entire men’s roster. It was only after his absence that we really got to see Flyweights shine, and now we can appreciate him as truly being an a league of his own, If time does kindly to Women’s Bantamweight, it too will grow in scale and eventually become respected in it’s own right, and then only after time has passed can we look back at Valentina’s dominance and really be impressed.
If you think I’m exaggerating, allow me to give an example; Name your top ten favorite women’s flyweights.
Makes you wince a little, don’t it?

Tbf to DJ and Valentina most divisions with dominant champions get called weak. Look at Jon Jones he was seen as a champion of a weak division yet his wins over DC, Glover, and Gustafsson (the first fight) aged very well.

That’s true to a degree, but Jones and Silva undeniably dominated their respective divisions at arguably their collective peak of relevance. Valentina and Johnson dominated their divisions at their least relevant.
That being said, I don’t actually hate Valentina. She’s fine, clearly skilled, I just find her generally overrated. I hate her rabid horny fanbase more than anything, really.

I've never been a fan of Shevchenko, but I was expecting her to go unbeaten for a lot longer. And I definitely did not expect her to lose to Alexa Grasso. No disrespect to her, but cmon.

Good list! I'll probably update mine at some point but I have a really big issue with PED usage so I'd probably have to make two separate ones. A "clean" one only for fighters that have never tested positive and one where I take the Nick Diaz "all you ************s are on steroids" anyway approach. Also could probably do with a bit of research into historical MMA as well before attempting it.
EDIT: I've just checked my previous one and cringed so hard that I decided to remove every single fighter because it was so bad! I didn't have Randa Markos ANYWHERE in my top 15!

Women 125 is becoming a decent division now because of all the prospect coming up, I think they came up at the right time so it going to become a intersting division with solid prospect
This is my thought on the rest of WMMA, I hate women 135 and 145, And I'm worry for 115 future because they're not many prospect, But the current fighter are good

Frankly, I was pretty mixed on how Jones v Cyril was going to go down…then they showed Cyril “prepping” for the fight by sitting on the mat next to his coach, watching YouTube videos. I was like Wow…this is where a third of every UFC fighter’s purse is going to. I could have taught Cyril that **** for free.
